The Future of Petty Island

Overview:
Petty Island, the site of multiple recreational complex proposals over the centuries (even Louis Sullivan drafted plans in 1907), langushes today as a nearly-forgotten storage site for petrolium tanks and cargo containers. How might Petty Island - and the land adjacent to it on the Philadelphia side of the Delaware River - be developed as a 21st Century recreation complex suited to today's needs and economic/environmental realities?

Pre-Registration is FREE! Pre-Registrants will receive the official competition challenge and rules via email on the day the competition launches (October 03, 2014).

Note: Entries from multi-disciplinary teams representing a variety of fields and stakeholders, including perhaps designers, architects, planners, public policy makers, economists, transportation planners, MBAs, or others are strongly encouraged.
